But if you are the type of person who wants persistent character progression and development with much more weapons, armors and features (including catapults and siege towers) then cRPG is the mod for you. Warband's native multiplayer is basically a counter-strike clone, which is pretty fun in short bursts. Many goons have wasted hundreds of hours on their campaigns, taking over the AI hordes of Calradia and maybe some of you guys got really good at melee fighting, archery, or my especial favorite, lancing people on horseback.īut there is a whole new aspect to the game added by Warband, which is its multiplayer. Mount & Warband is probably the most skill based and best melee combat and cavalry engine in any PC game.
Skip the fun is also the best choice if you just want to play in the strategus battles once in awhile and casual play. This mode is also great if you are just starting out and can't decide on what sort of class you want to be. If you don't feel like starting out as a peasant there is a mode called "Skip the Fun" which sets you at level 30 and prevents you from retiring or gaining xp, but still allows you to everything else a normal character can do, without the "Fun" involved. This is because the required xp to increase in level after 30 is ridiculously high, to prevent people from getting too powerful. When you reach level 31 you can retire and "heirloom" a single item, increasing it's stats but resetting you back to level 1. CRPG is a multiplayer modification for Warband that allows you to create a level 1 peasant and work your way up to the knight in shining armor/deadeye ranger of your dreams! The characters are persistent from server to server and you can buy many different kinds of weapons and armors that are unavailable in native.
